MBA/Graduate Program in Health Administration and Policy (GPHAP)

Program Structure
Through the joint MBA health-care management certificate program, students can earn either a or a . Students must complete the core requirements of the Full-Time MBA Program, the two required courses and two electives for either of the GPHAP certificate programs, a supervised practicum, and cocurricular activities. The supervised practicum can be fulfilled through: summer internships, Erikson or Quern Fellowships, field placements, research assistantships or internships, or professional experience (with approval from the GPHAP director). For the global health certificate program, the practicum may be completed inside or outside of the United States if desired. Students must attend three health-related workshops, seminars, lectures, or GPHAP special events each quarter and provide a short synopsis of each event attended to fulfill the cocurricular-activity aspect of this program (18 in total).

Courses For Booth
This course is required of all Full-Time students and is completed during the Autumn Quarter of their first year of residency in the program. The course is designed to enhance students’ self-awareness and interpersonal effectiveness by providing them with an opportunity to benchmark themselves with respect to critical aspects of leadership—working in teams, influencing others, conflict management, interpersonal communication, presentation skills, etc. The course also helps students create a personalized plan to guide their continued development at Booth and beyond.
