Perspectives in Philanthropy

Women talking at an event

Perspectives in Philanthropy is an event series designed to help Chicago Booth students and other members of the UChicago community gain a deeper understanding of the role that philanthropy plays in American society.

In panel discussions and other events, social sector leaders explore everything from the controversies surrounding philanthropic influence to the issues and interests that it fuels.

Led by the Rustandy Center for Social Sector Innovation’s philanthropy executive in residence, the series hosts sector and industry leaders for discussions about how philanthropy is advancing justice and equity, and where it falls short.

Past sessions have discussed philanthropy’s role in systems level change in addressing homelessness and what role philanthropy has to play in shaping the course of Artificial Intelligence.
