Philanthropy

A Chicago Booth student analyzes a dry erase board covered in post-it notes during Open Impact

In an ever-changing philanthropic landscape, the Rustandy Center for Social Sector Innovation aims to examine the latest trends in philanthropic giving.

Learn about the role philanthropy plays in society, including innovative approaches across the philanthropic and private sectors to tackle the seemingly intractable barriers to a society and economy that work for all.

We believe philanthropic giving can be a meaningful way to live your values and support a cause you are passionate about.

Our philanthropy resources, including speaker events and interactive workshops, help Chicago Booth alumni and students as well as nonprofit and business leaders better understand the state of the philanthropic sector, its challenges, and innovations in the field.

“To meet current needs and long-term social and environmental challenges, we need viable organizations, and viable organizations need flexible institutional support.”
—Bradford Smith, President, Candid
