Tarrson Fund Our Investment Approach

As an evergreen fund, our goal is to invest in companies that generate social impact and financial returns that grow our principal for investment by future fund leadership.

Investment Parameters

  • Stage and Check Size: We make investments of $50,000–$100,000 into pre-seed and seed ventures.
  • Sector: While we are sector-agnostic, we have a thematic focus on investments that create economic opportunity, improve health, increase sustainability, and address environmental justice and equity issues. Thematic areas may evolve over time, so reach out to us if you’re interested in seeking investment.
  • Geography: At this time, we focus on investments into companies that are located in and create impact in the United States.
  • Syndicate: We don’t lead deals, but seek to co-invest and be active partners when appropriate.
  • Impact: We make investments into companies that have meaningful impact built into the business model.

Investment Process

  • Entrepreneurs interested in investment from the Tarrson Fund should complete as early as possible in the fundraise. We review all submissions, and a member of our team will reach out once the form is completed.

Portfolio Support

  • As Booth MBA students, we’re uniquely positioned to offer value to founders in our portfolio, with expertise and experience across every business function. We create bespoke portfolio support teams as needed and are as hands-on as you need us to be. Read more about how we support our portfolio companies here.
  • Impact Measurement and Management: The Tarrson Fund aims to generate both financial and social returns and will rigorously provide those results to stakeholders. We work with portfolio companies to develop and amplify impact reporting.
